The purge cylinder system has been designed to further reduce purge times on large diameter pipes by localising the purge area to the weld root. Available for pipes from 200-705 mm diameter, these tools use heat resistant sealing lips to form the seal capable of coping with 300 degree heat for up to one hour. The gas cylinder is designed with pull through balls to enable easy retrieval of the unit out of a straight section pipe, or a pipe with a series of bends or elbows.
