We use DMA for the glass transition (Tg) of any polymer or composite, and the lasercomp range for thermal conductivity and specific heat on larger sized samples.
Nano-indentation and nano-scratch on polymers is difficult but using the new state of the art CSM Instruments systems we can allow for creep and other time-dependent properties unlike some systems where a rapid test has to be made or where the is significant thermal expansion. CSM has the lowest thermal drift and c of e of any nano-indenter so is most appropriate for polymers.
