AS THE COMPANY CELEBRATES ITS 30TH YEAR AT THE FOREFRONT OF SCAFFOLD HIRE & SALES, WE SIGN OFF THE CALENDAR YEAR ON A HIGH WITH GREAT FINANCIAL SUCCESS; REMAINING EXCITED, WELL STOCKED & PREPARED TO SERVICE WHAT WE BELIEVE WILL BE A VERY CHALLENGING 2023!

Its with a great sense of pride that we move into our 30-year anniversary; a Liverpool company that has had to constantly adapt to an ever-changing sector by continually listening to its clients and growing organically on many levels.  George Roberts now proudly employs over 90 employees, operates across a 20-acre super site, exports product to over 30 countries worldwide, supports over 30 product lines and in this 2022 financial year has posted a staggering £57 million turnover.

The key to our success, which has been ever present at the forefront of the company, is firstly the continued loyalty of our long-standing customers, and secondly our committed and dedicated staff; both of whom have helped us achieve this great success and to whom we express our deepest thanks and gratitude.

Trust remains key and I firmly believe our clients associate this with the George Roberts brand, valuing our status as ‘supply only’ throughout; and supporting the fact we remain one of the largest independent British companies, focussed only on the Hire and Sale of scaffolding, access equipment and non-mechanical builders’ plant.  While I remain Chairman and majority shareholder, I will always remain committed to this strategy.  Our clients can talk to us on any level and at any time of day to assist in the planning of major projects with total confidentiality.

The safety and wellbeing of our employees and our customers has always been a high priority.  Once again, we have been very fortunate to ensure the safety of all on site which is once again testament to our diligent staff and the continued hard work and willingness of our safety team.

Moving forward into 2023 we are forecasting a continuation of very high demand, particularly across the construction, commercial and infrastructure sectors; and we are well stocked, poised in anticipation to offer our ‘total reliability of supply’ mantra throughout.  We continue to invest in support of our organic growth, having now acquired another service yard for early 2023 that will help us increase our storage, maximise safety, bring operational efficiencies and build on our added value services offered such as painting, sizing, tube ramping, branding and bespoke packaging.
