GGB Bearing Technology (formerly Glacier Garlock Bearings) has received TS-16949 and ISO 9001 certification for its Suzhou production facility, as well as its Shanghai sales office. “Certification to these global quality standards is a major milestone for our operations, and all the more remarkable given that we’ve only been in production for less than a year,” said GGB China General Manager Mathias Senghaas. “These certifications are critical to our business development efforts, particularly in the automotive market. The TS-16949 standard defines the quality system requirements for the design, development, production, installation and servicing of automotive-related products. It consolidates into one global specification the requirements of the U.S. QS-9000, German VDA6.1, French EAQF and Italian AVSQ.
