Genesis™ GRP Kiosk Makes Waves in Anglesey
21-11-2019
Anglesey is an island off the north-west coast of Wales known for its beaches and ancient sites. Its rural coastline has been designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty*, and is home to many beaches and a coastal path that circumscribes the island.
Requiring Beach Warden Kiosks to be located at three of their local beaches, the Anglesey County Council contacted Glasdon.
To be installed near the coastline, it was essential that the kiosks could withstand adverse weather conditions and were robust, strong and well insulated.
Three Genesis™ GRP 2.3 x 1.5m Kiosks were selected to successfully meet their specification.
The Marine Officer, Andrew McAvady thought that the kiosks would provide the perfect solution and an excellent focal point for the public when seeking help and information from the Beach Wardens.
The Genesis range features modern styling and is finished internally and externally in high quality GRP. This coupled with the toughened safety glass windows provided the ideal solution for the harsh coastal environment. The Genesis building system also features a galvanised subframe as standard for ease of relocation, thus enabling the customer to store the buildings at a local depot over the winter months.
To enhance brand visibility for Visit Anglesey and the Anglesey County Council, the Genesis was also supplied with custom imagery promoting activities on the coast which were placed onto all side panels.
Following installation of the units, Andrew McAvady said, “The Marine Officers and their team are very pleased with the Genesis Kiosks and feedback from the public is already very positive.”
As the first Genesis order back in 2015, it provided a winning start to a new product perfectly engineered to meet the broad needs of our customers.
