Glazing Refurbishment’s specialist glazing demolition division have successfully completed the controlled removal of the bespoke glazed façade entranceway to the Buttermarket Shopping Centre in Ipswich, Suffolk. Tasked by our client to complete this precise demolition to a tight deadline, our team worked through the night during the four week project to minimise disruption to the general public and allow internal construction works to take place during the day. Attached are images showing the final stage of the demolition project with the central ring being the final piece of the structure to be removed. Throughout this works, our Projects Team sourced a variety of specialist access cranes to assist with the removal of the large glazed panels and steel framework. The successful deconstruction has now revealed the new look food court and leisure complex which is due to open this Summer.
