Controlled Removal of Multiple Glazed Concourses

Glazing Refurbishment’s Specialist Demolition Division have been working towards the controlled removal of multiple glazed concourses at one of London’s busiest Train Stations. The team have been utilising a combination of specialist machines including URM Spider Cranes with Manipulator Heads and internal MEWPs. These machines enable our operatives to negate difficult access issues on site. Conducting the removal, our operatives commenced with the removal of the bracing tie roads and the transportation to ground level for disposal. Utilising the Spider Crane with manipulator head, we conducted the controlled manoeuvre of the existing glazing from the aperture and transportation to ground level as for storage. These works form part of the first phase of a multi-million pound refurbishment to the site.
