Glazing Refurbishment Limited last night completed the emergency make safe of a fractured structural glazed panel to a prestigious West London Cinema complex. We were called by the client at 3 pm yesterday - there premises suffering a full fracture to a ground floor entrance-way structural panel. Reacting swiftly our emergency glazing team conducted a full vehicle check to ensure all possible board-up possibilities were required then mobilised to site in our fully fitted company van. Arriving to site the team met with the client, handed over senior management approved RAMS and proceeded to establish cordons in order to ensure public and employees could not enter works area. Installing specialist glazing films the team were able to remove the fractured panel in a single movement, maintaining the entire panel in order to ensure the glass fragments could not fall and spread over the pavement. Once removed all rebates and associated fittings were fully cleaned and any glass splinters cleared. Patch fittings were cleaned and handed to client for safe keeping. Once the aperture was measured our team utilised our in-vehicle cutting table to cut required boarding to size and swiftly installed the wood paneling within the vacant aperture. Once installed and fixed the panel was fully sealed in order to ensure no ingress could enter the property. While onsite our team took full production sizes of the glass, surveyed the site fully and sent all details to the sales department for pricing. The replacement works have now been fully priced and sent to the client who has subsequently placed order with us. The glass is now on order, RAMS are being prepared and the client updated with a works date to conduct repair.
