Glass Roof Removal/Replacement

Glazing Refurbishment Ltd, have just undertaken the removal and replacement of a large dual oitched glass rooflight to a large hotel in central Manchester. The existing glass swimming pool roof was installed using clear plate glass panels. This provided an extra challenge to our roof glaziers as they removed the broken overhead glass roof panels prior to dismantling the associated metal roof framing. Glazing Refurbishment have a speicialist high level glass division who supplied the overhead difficult access fitters who completed the works with a combination of rope abseil techniques and mechanical access. A new thermally broken double glazed aluminium framed glass roof has now been fitted and is performing well. The Manchester based architects praised the specification, design and delivery of the replacement glass roof and for the health and safety procedures employed during the controlled removal and demolition of the original dangerous high level glass roof by our specialist high level roofing division.
