NO REST FOR THE BEST!!!!!!!

With another busy week of commercial glazing refurbishment drawing to a close you'd think we at Glazing Refurb would be settling down with a few beers for the weekend? Hardly, quite the opposite in fact! Glazing Refurb has 4 high level operations planned for this weekend, with specific teams working across the UK. Our crane/powered access division find themselves back down to Hammersmith on Saturday with a critical 6th floor glass replacement in conjunction with abseil teams and traffic management procedures. Our boys have worked on this building for over 17 years now and large scale glass replacements on this prestigious building come as second nature, it's this consistency and assurance that maintains our excellent relationship with our client here and throughout Britain's tall buildings. Continuing with our CDM project on the east coast is our large projects division who are now entering their 3rd weekend operation. Working at night to alleviate risk to our client’s staff and public the team are safely conducting the full refurbishment to a barrel vaulted canopy. Replacing all associated polycarbonate, pressure caps and flashing details via cherry picker and scaffold access the team are progressing excellently with typical customer satisfaction. Travel a little further in-land and you might see our high level roof access team conducting critical glass replacements at Norwich's premier shopping centre. With a busy weekend of sales set for our client are team will commence works at 5am on Sunday morning! Here we'll be replacing 3no shaped laminate panels to the overhead atrium, utilising abseilors, mobile scaffold towers and our bespoke roof access system to safely carry out the works. High level works of this nature take time and careful planning - constant liaison is required and our ability to work to unsociable work hours provides a level of service un-matched within our industry. Finally and to complete this weekend’s work we've been instructed to carry out the H&S glazing inspection of Manchester's premier Law firm. In a busy office environment it's sometimes difficult to accurately inspect window systems without affecting our client’s staff. As such we agreed to attend this Sunday to ensure zero disruption to our customer and give our Condition Report team the time access all windows within the building. Once all inspections are complete it's back to the office Monday to compile and submit a full photographic report detailing immediate H&S concerns, projected dilapidations and all recommended repairs needed. All in all a very hectic weekend for the various teams on the road.
