Repair Structural Glazing Systems
12-11-2012
We specialise in the maintenance and repair of structural glazing systems. We are also able to replace failed or fractured glazing in Planar and Structual Glazing Systems. Planar are a particular type of bolted glazing system generally found in Atriums and overhead glazing. The glass is mounted on stainless steel brackets with countersunk holes drilled through the glass. This method of bolting glass is also often found in canopy glazing. Structual glazing is when the glass is bonded into the frames directly or sometimes on carriers. These are sometimes secured with toggles that lock into the spacer bar, such as Schuco, and then utilising an Arbo or Dow Corning structural silicone jointed and secured together.
