Glazing refurbishment have recently completed there latest roof management plan to Cambridge's most prestigious teaching college. The high level roof inspection works included all high level glazing, tiled and soft skinned roofs and all parapet roof cladding. The works were completed out of hours to minimise the risk of injury to students, staff and the visiting general public. Access to the roofs was tricky due to the steep pitched slate roofs so complex abseil methods were adopted. Once at roof level our customised roof access system was carefully hoisted up and utilised to ensure our operatives remained safe and secure when on the glazing face. The roof of a building is probably its most valuable asset. Keeping those who work or shop beneath it dry and protected from the elements and ensuring that public spaces, retail units and associated stock and equipment remain undamaged and operating profitably. Once a roof be it glass, tiled, clad or soft skinned has started to leak, severe deterioration of the whole roofing system and its associated components around these locations will have taken place. After an annual inspection of all your overhead roofing and glazing to include testing a comprehensive bound roof inspection report is provided to the Client fully describing the roofs condition with any defects noted and a full photographic record and sketch plans highlighting and costing any areas requiring remedial attention. With this information targeted areas can be quoted and costed in detail, budgeted for and carried out to significantly extend your roofs life expectancy. Included in the report will be a Roof Inspection Certificate so that if a roof leak should occur you can prove your maintenance obligations in the event of an insurance claim.
