We have just completed the first phase of a large window refurbishment contract for Kent County Council. All works were completed out of hours to minimise disruption to the Council employees located within the offices. Window external gasket seals were removed and replaced to 555No windows, all external brick/frame structural seals were replaced. New double glazed units were fitted 85No windows and new hinges and handles to a further 420No windows. Upon completion new solar control film was fitted to all windows with a final clean down, water test and handover ensuring that the Glazing Refurbishment window repair division finished the works and project on time and budget. Access was achieved internally with a combination of podium steps and portable man anchors, and a combination of rope/abseil technicians and mechanical access platforms were employed to facilitate the external access, all operators of the latter being IPAF qualified. The overall window repair package was managed and delivered on site by Mark Bloor a fully qualified SMSTS Site Manager. The works delivered for Kent County Council are now covered and insured with a 10 year product/quality guarantee.
