Getting to Know: Anne Dawson, Operations Co-Coordinator

Time with the company: 5 1/2 years. What time did you get up this morning? 06.30am. What attracted you to Goudsmit UK? The nice working environment and the close team. Describe your job in 5 words Unpredictable, busy, varied, interesting, enjoyable! What does your job entail? I look after the manufacturing overseas, ensureing all goods are complete and shipped on time. I also manage the account for one of our largest customers. What does a typical day involve for you? I check and respond to emails first thing then whatever the day throws at me! There is never a typical day! How did you get into this line of work? I was working in the motor industry before and liked the idea of a change of career so when the opportunity to work at Goudsmit UK came up I jumped at it. What’s the best part of your job at Goudsmit UK? The best part is definitely the people I work with, there are lots of laughs in the office. What personal qualities are required to do your job? Good communication skills are a must, and the ability to work in a team. What’s the biggest challenges you face in your job? Co-ordinating production schedules and transit times. What’s the most rewarding part of your job? Getting orders complete and delivered on time and getting thanks from a customer. What’s the best piece of advice you could give to a new person joining your team? Ask questions, no matter how silly you think they are! What do you do in your spare time? I love to get away at the weekend and spend time with my family. I also enjoy eating out and getting to the gym (sometimes!!). Any fun / interesting facts about you? I once shared a lift with Brad Pitt. What time will you get home this evening? Hopefully around 5.15pm.
