World leader in lubrication solutions Interlube Systems has developed a new range of progressive divider valves, launching later this year.
The valves complete the company’s range of revolutionary products developed to reduce downtime and increase efficiency in the heavy industrial sector.
The heavy-duty products - HDI centralised greasing pumps and SPL progressive divider valves - have been produced for the most arduous, aggressive and demanding industrial applications.
Designed by experienced lubrication engineers who really know the market, the products are manufactured in the UK at Interlube's Plymouth factory and exported throughout the world.
The new valves - developed following a £400,000 investment in new machinery at the company’s Plymouth factory which has recently been awarded ISO 14001 accreditation - are built to deliver accurate amounts of lubricant to each connected point without missing a grease point out.
The SPL valves are tested to an excess of 350 Bar (5075 PSI) pressure to ensure that there is no ‘skipping’ of the internal spools, which is paramount to the quality of the product.
Interlube Sales Director Keith Horner says: “Some lubrication companies manufacture to cost and, of course, some customers buy to cost.
“But we look at the bigger picture - our investment in plant shows our commitment to quality.
“Our customers invest heavily in machines, so - naturally - they want them to last. Using quality products will maximize the return on their investment.”
The firm’s HDI pumps ensure that lubrication is consistently and efficiently delivered to the SPL valves which deliver set amounts of lubricant in turn to each connected bearing/pin.
Suitable for most types of grease including greases to NGLI 2 viscosity, the units generate more than 400 bar pressure if required, adequate to overcome resistance caused by tight bearings.
Unlike some on the market, all pumps within the HDI range are easily installed and can be serviced cost effectively.
Well tried and tested in all types of hostile environments, HDI pumps have been installed in locations throughout the world to serve many applications – such as the CAT family of mobile plant and handling machines.
Interlube’s high quality and reliable products help to keep trucks, buses, trailers, cranes, quarries and heavy-duty production lines moving reliably 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
Interlube Systems Ltd has been manufacturing lubrication equipment in the UK since 1922. The company was the subject of a management buy-out in 2000 and the US distribution business was bought from Invensys in 2002. MSP Distributors Limited and Filtakleen Manufacturing were acquired in 2007.
The company is a world leader in lubrication solutions and, with three facilities in Plymouth (UK), Asia and Dayton Ohio (USA), it offers a global service to its growing customer base.
