This centre door knob is made from solid brass, which is then highly polished and coated with a quality clear lacquer to prevent it from corrosion. If the lacquer is kept in good condition then it will last for many years in its polished state. However, with a little care and attention your centre door knob will retain its good looks for many years. Dust with a clean soft cloth and clean stubborn marks with a moist soapy cloth, followed by thorough drying and a light coating of beeswax. Follow these recommendations and your centre door knob will look in pristine condition and give you good service for a very long time.
