The Eurospec 63mm (2.5") Standard Tubular Mortice Latch Electro Brass is best suited to lever handles on backplate, which are sprung. The cost of the handles will generally determine the quality of the latch fitted to the door and in our opinion this latch would not be suitable for levers on roses, as it does not have back to back fixing holes, and for the more expensive levers on backplate. It is the most commonly used latch for lever handles on backplates and the most common size used for standard internal doors is the 63mm body latch.

This latch has a steel case and solid brass latchbolt; the forend and strike plates are electro brass.

Other Variations

The latch is also available with an electro brass finish or a 76mm size variation. Some of these variations can be found in the related products. Florentine bronze and nickel latches are available as separate products. PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS LATCH DOES NOT HAVE BACK TO BACK FIXING HOLES AND IS THEREFORE NOT SUITABLE FOR MANY OF OUR LEVERS ON ROSE.  CHOOSE THE ECLIPSE TUBULAR MORTICE LATCH AS AN ECONOMICAL ALTERNATIVE.
