The JV68 lined mushroom mortice knob is a classical design seen in country house and period properties. 50mm in diameter the door knob is attached to the door via a 65mm concealed fix rose. Available in brass, chrome or satin chrome, each set comes complete with an 8mm operating spindle and a screw fixing pack.

Brass, Chrome or Satin Chrome

The JV68 lined door knob set is available in traditional polished brass, which is lacquered, satin chrome or polished chrome. Polished chrome is a particularly hard wearing and durable finish which will last for many years. It can be maintained by periodic wiping with a damp cloth soaked in a mild soapy solution.

Un-sprung Knob Set

The JV68 mortice door knob is an un-sprung set of knobs and will require fitting to a reasonably good quality tubular mortice latch such as the Delamain latch. This will have sufficient springing to return the knob after use.

Latch Depth

Consideration should be given to using the deepest latch possible positioning the centre of the knob as far away as possible from the edge of the door. Doing this will avoid that painful event of catching your knuckles on the door frame, when opening or closing the door.
