Dance UK announced today that Harlequin Floors is to continue its support of The National Institute for Dance Medicine & Science (NIDMS) with a generous donation of 10,000 pounds.
Following research published by Dance UK, NIDMS was set up in 2012, bringing together 6 major dance organisations in a shared vision to provide dancers with the finest treatment for injury. From the start, Harlequin Floors became a key funder, underlining the company's great interest and support of dancers' health and wellbeing.
The announcement came at the end of the first morning of The Future: New Ideas, New Inspirations, appropriately following a session focussed on philanthropy, hosted at The Mayor of London's City Hall.
Group Marketing Manager of Harlequin Floors, Mark Rasmussen comments:
We are proud to continue our support of NIDMS, part of Dance UK's Healthier Dancer Programme, which provides injured dancers with top quality, dance-specific health care through the NHS as well as producing research-led best practice.
Caroline Miller, Director of Dance UK adds:
We are truly grateful to Harlequin Floors for its generous and far-sighted support, enabling us to take better care of the health and well-being of dancers. Over the years, the company has demonstrated that it is much more than a supplier to dance, Harlequin Floors really is an integral part of the industry.
