CFT S.p.A, based in Montecchio near Parma, Italy, was formed in 2007 by the merger of SIMA and Comaco under the Catelli Group umbrella, to provide a total solution for the filling and closing of cans, jars and bottles for the food industry. CFT offer complete lines as well as individual pieces of equipment for processing beverages, tomato products, fruit and vegetables, dairy, soy, baby foods, syrups, jams and jellies. With particularly extensive experience in processing and packaging tomatoes, CFT supply complete tomato processing plants (from field to shelf) for all different types: peeled, diced, and puréed; pizza and pasta sauces; ketchup and harissa lines. The CFT range also incorporates sophisticated in-line and rotary packaging technology using volumetric, weigh and flow meter filling to suit the products, at speeds ranging from 50 to 1500 containers and from sizes ranging from 100 gs to 200 kgs. Latest developments from CFT include the innovative new Macropak RVL/2T and the Vacuum Seamer ASV. Huge flexibility, compact design, and increased automation of the filling process and controls make the Macropak RVL/2T the ideal machine for niche products. Capable of handling bags from 5-220 kg, this system is also compatible with a variety of cap sizes with possible applications including all agroindustrial liquids and viscous products, as well as those with particulates. The Vacuum Seamer ASV is specially designed to pack products without preserving liquids, which has the advantage of locking goodness into the fruit or vegetables. Additionally, this technology also means that the product reduces food waste from draining any preserving fluids, providing foodstuffs which are ready to cook or eat straight from the tin. In addition to the above, CFT are at the forefront of can closing equipment with single and multi-head can seamers fabricated in stainless steel to suit today’s requirements for outstanding hygiene. Rotary seamers can be fitted with 3 to 12 heads on standard, composite and aluminium cans as well as standard, easy open or peelable ends.
