The OCTAVE range of ultrasonic digital bulk water meters have been designed for precise measurement of water flow in demanding water utility and industrial water situations. The Octave range is AMR Ready and can easily be connected to any automated metering reading system - contact our sales office for details.The OCTAVE's measurement method uses two ultrasonic sensors located diagonally across the meter's body. These sensors operate alternately as the sender and the receiver, with the time taken for the pulses to travel across the water flow being measured and compared. Since the ultrasonic wave travels slower against the flow than with the flow, the time difference between the waves traveling with the water flow and those travelling against it is used to calculate the velocity of the water.The Octave consist of a single compact battery powered unit, with built-in LCD display and the option of digital (pulse) and 4-20mA analogue output.Multi-line LCD DisplayVolume units: -Programmable - m3, USG, Cu Ft.
