Carbon monoxide and carbon dioxide measurement for special applications. The CF8 carbon dioxide (CO2) transmitter can be used for monitoring, for example, ventilation control for underground storage, food transport, tunnels, mining, etc. where CO2 levels can rise to dangerous levels. The CF8-W-Disp-GH is designed for use in greenhouses and comes with an extra dust and water filter to provide long term maintenance-free use in adverse conditions. It is essential that areas where CO2 could rise to high levels e.g. beer cellars, and aroun CO2 cylinders (including soft drinks machines) are monitored for CO2 leaks. The CF8-W has an IP54 housing designed for wall mounting in harsh environments, and provides a current or voltage and relay outputs with an optional display. The instrument has a range of 0 to 4% (40,000 ppmv) and can alert operators to high CO2 levels. The use of a non-dispersive infra-red sensor (NDIR) offers high precision and low maintenance, and the sensor life is expected to be in greater than 15 years. The automatic baseline correction means that no further calibration is required if the systems are installed in indoor applications.
