GIPFELPULS Natural Snack Chooses Propafilm™ Strata

A young German startup company Gipfelpuls has chosen Innovia Films Propafilm™ Strata high barrier film to wrap their healthy natural snack. The film has been designed to be a standalone mono filmic solution or, to be used in laminate constructions to be ‘recycle ready’, or recyclable in countries which have the infrastructure to recycle polypropylene films. Andreas Meyer, Executive Director, Gipfelpuls explains “We created a new nut snack in a compact spherical shape with over 55 % nuts and seeds in combination with selected berries and fruits. It provides a powerful and healthy base. We found that Innovia’s Strata film was the best solution, providing our product with excellent aroma and gas barrier to keep our nut product in perfect condition. Strata film also provides an effective mineral oil barrier with the EVOH in the middle of the multilayer BOPP Film. We achieved excellent machine performance on our HFFSM machine and saved time and costs in the packaging process. We also use recycled carton fibers for the box.” Propafilm™ Strata is glossy, food contact compliant and chlorine free and can be used in a range of markets. It is printable and offers a wide seal and hot tack range. Interseroh, an Independent German recycling and consulting company recently awarded Propafilm™ Strata a ‘very good’ rating and awarded it their ‘Made for recycling’ logo.
