The PD SHHS1 heavy-duty, high-security hasp & staple boasts concealed bolt-through fixings on both sides and holds Sold Secure approval, a CEN4 rating, and Police approval (under the ACPO Secured by Design scheme).
Designed to accommodate both higher-security closed shackle padlocks and a variety of open shackle padlocks, this unit surpasses many other hasps on the market. Crafted from 5mm thick laser-cut steel plate, with a hardened 12mm thick steel staple, it offers significant resistance to sawing and drilling attacks.
The welded top-and-bottom hinge pin thwarts pin-removal attacks, and the supplied M8 coach bolt fixings are through bolts, deterring crowbar or lever attacks. These fixings are concealed when the unit is locked, safeguarding them against direct attack.
The 12mm thick staple is suitable for use with high-security closed shackle padlocks, providing formidable protection against attacks on the shackle or hasp staple. Alternatively, it can be used with open shackle padlocks.
The vertical shackle design allows closed shackle locks to hang neatly, enhancing security.
The six pre-formed holes on each mounting plate offer flexibility for installation, and the 15mm hole through the staple accommodates high-security padlock shackles. The zinc phosphate pre-treatment and tough powder coat finish provide excellent weather protection.
Installation is universal, suitable for left or right-handed doors, and can be done easily with standard DIY tools.
