The XSensor's X3 1.6mm Tire Pressure Mapping System can execute static tire profiling by allowing designers and engineers to study and research the tire footprint of motorcycles, cars and LCVs. With a high-resolution sensor - 1.6mm spatial resolution with over 65,000 sensor points - the X3 system can produce highly detailed 2D and 3D images and AVI files. Images, Images, AVI files and numeric data can then be exported from XSensor's Pro V8 software. The XSensor Tire Pressure Mapping System enables powerful research for tire engineers, chassis engineers and all other technical staff involved in researching a tire's interaction with the road surface. The high-resolution sensor with 65,536 individual sensels of 1mm x 1mm with a pitch of 1.6mm and a 256 x 256 matrix provides an active area of 16" x 16" (406mm x 406mm) is at the heart of this system. Although designed primarily for tire studies, this system has been used in many other applications.
