Disabled Access For The Furniture Barn Furniture Barn, the expanding retailer of quality furniture had decided on a new retail outlet in Sheffield. The building needed to be usable by everyone and so it was decided to include a platform lift in the design of the store. The owner decided to use the MC2000 platform lift from Invalifts as it could be tailored to fit in with the building appearance. The client wanted to maximise light through the store and so decided upon glazed doors and some of the shaft to be glazed also. The lift was also powder coated to the clients chosen RAL colour in order to match the colour scheme of the store. The lift now forms an intrinsic part of the store without detracting from the homely retail environment that the client wanted to achieve. The lift is used by the disabled and those just needing a bit of help with the stairs.
