Justin Broadbent took to the screen this week with a walk around St Giles House, Dorset for a new Channel 4 documentary.
The four part documentary commissioned for Oxford Films is called “the Aristocracy” and directed by Bafta winning film maker Patrick Forbes. The series explores the modern day high society and gives an insight into their daily lives.
St Giles House is located on the Shaftesbury Estate in Wimbourne St Giles, East Dorset and is home to the Ashley-Coopers, also known as the Earls of Shaftesbury.
The house was built in 1651 and has been unoccupied for nearly 60 years. It was recorded in 2001 on the Register of Buildings at risk as a Grade I Listed, meaning it was of exceptional interest and considered to be internationally important.
Isoenergy was tasked with providing spatial heating and hot water for the house, and with the River Allen flowing through the 5,500 acre estate, there was the perfect opportunity for the installation of a ground source heat pump system, utilising one of the seven lakes.
