Laser and Fibre Optic Position Sensors

Ixthus works with three manufacturers of laser sensors to cover measurement ranges from 1mm up to 500m. Riftek offer compact triangulation laser sensors for up to 1000mm and 2D scanning systems. LMI Technologies have high resolution and speed solutions with analogue and digital outputs. Dimetix offers long range measurement up to 500m with a resolution to 1.5mm. The fibre optic measurement technology from Philtec is fairly unique, the system uses a controlled reflected light principle to make measurements up to 50mm. Both analogue and digital outputs are available with up date speeds of 20KHz. The fibre optic technology is well placed for use in vacuum and Philtec offer a number of vacuum pass-throughs.
