We can offer a full rewind service, This usually takes a little longer to turn around than a new transformer and can usually be more expensive. However if the voltages or VA ratings are unknown, or the transformer is needed to be a critical size, then a rewind might be the only option. In the case of these example transformers, the output voltage of the burnt out transformer was unknown. The transformer terminals had not been labelled by the original manufacturer, so the only option was a rewind. On this occasion we were lucky enough to have the coil bobbins (formers) in stock. Usually in the case of rewinds we have to make a bobbin or adapt as stock bobbin. The transformer was a 200KVA auto. We turned it around in 2 days.
