Aluminium Pipe Boxing

Jtech Services have recently supplied and installed their Aluminium Pipe Boxing system for an external application at a Local Authority apartment block project in London. A detailed pre-manufacture measure was undertaken on this application as only the insulated heating pipes were required to be covered whist leaving the gas pipe exposed. This detailed measure meant that installation was straightforward and completed within the time frame required. Waste was also kept to a minimum as only specific lengths were supplied so very little, if any, onsite cutting was required. All the necessary accessories were included in the fabrication before powder coating which enhanced the finish quality. If required a range of other accessories are available for all of the Jtech Services profiles including Internal & External Corners, Tee Pieces and Stop Ends. Aluminium was the clear choice for this particular external application, however the quality of the product and the ease of installation were also big factors in the decision. The need for either a steel or aluminium based pipe boxing system that is finished with an FR grade powder coating is becoming more and more apparent as building facility managers and heating & sprinkler system designer engineers see the need to protect their services in the event of fire.
