KC Controls visit ABB at ICL

Last week KC Controls were invited to Imperial College London for ABB’s – Measurement & Analytics IAP Training & Experience Day. The day saw us and other companies explore about ABB and gave us a clearer understanding of what their products do. The morning started off with lectures from the following at ABB: - Steve Wilding - UK & IE Field Sales Manager - Alan Hunt - Product Manager – Electromagnetic Flow - Jo Kirkbridge - Product Manager – Positioners - Mike Sparrey - Water Sales Team Manager - David Bowers - Product Manager – Process Flow & Pressure - Steve Gorvett - Product Manager - Temperature & DP Flow But first who are ABB? ABB provides the latest technology and solutions for Oil & Gas industry. From the field to the boardroom, there solutions help their customers achieve safe, reliable and efficient operations for today and tomorrow. All lectures gave KC Controls an insight on how all of ABB products operate. ABB showed how their products can take your company to the next level. From the way they are designed (for maximum efficiency); to help save your companies costs (reliability of the products). We then experienced the state of the art facilities ABB have supplied Imperial College; this included the Control Room, Pilot Plant. We then finished off with a workshop from one of ICL’s lecturers about Carbon Capture. Let’s just say we were more than impressed with the day from ABB.
