Alarm and Indication

H0400 MODBUS Relay Unit provides a cost effective solution, with the possibility to monitor all kinds of equipment connected to a common 2-wire MODBUS. The relay unit has 15 output relays and 1 monitoring output relay. Any change of status of any unit on the bus can be programmed to activate or deactivate any one of the 15 relays. The monitoring relay (number 16) has a special function; it is normally energized and will be automatically de-energized if there is a loss of communication with one or more units on the bus. 15 red LEDs indicate if any of the 15 output relays are activated. 1 green LED indicates if the connection to all slave units is ok. Master or slave H0400 is equipped with RS232 interface, which makes it possible to programme the unit by the use of Microsoft® Hyper Terminal. Dependent on the application, which the MODBUS Relay Unit is to be a part of, the unit can be programmed and used as master or slave. As default H0400 is delivered as a master unit. The Master unit will read any digital message from any slave unit and consequently activate or deactivate any of the 15 output relays. Even messages with analogue values can be read and used for activation or deactivation of relays in an easy manner. In Slave mode H0400 is present on the BUS only as a “listener”.
