The SELCO H2000 Engine Controller is a compact microprocessor based unit capable of controlling and protecting almost any kind of combustion engine which is used for driving an AC generator.
To start and stop the engine the H2000 will control the fuel valve and the crank through build-in relay outputs.
The start sequence can be initiated automatically by an external contact signal or manually by pushing the large green button located on the front of the unit. The H2000 will operate the crank until the engine reaches about 30% of nominal revolution, or until the preconfigured crank time is exceeded, in which case the H2000 will pause before it issues a second and third start attempt. The H2000 is able to determine engine speed through the frequency of the AC voltage output connected directly to the unit.
Once the engine is running the H2000 will survey all its operational parameters. The H2000 includes inputs for oil pressure, water temperature and three auxiliary alarms. The H2000 will automatically stop the engine if one of these inputs are activated. An overspeed situation (110% nominal speed) is detected through the build-in speed measuring circuit. Immediate shutdown is obtained by deactivating the fuel valve output relay.
Thirteen bright LEDs will indicate the operational status which includes functional parameters as well as shut down alarm conditions. Parameters like number of start attempts and time sequences are programmable through 24 programming switches located on the rear side of the unit.
The H2000 is intended for flush mounting with standard measurements of 96 x 96 x 70 mm.

The SELCO M2000 Engine Controller will control and protect any industrial combustion engine, which accepts discreet I/O signals for control of the crank, the fuel valve and the stop solonoid (if applicable). The engine must be able to supply potential free contacts for starter disengagement and overspeed alarm (normally done through a standard tacho relay). The M2000 is typically used as an engine controller for diesel or gas driven generator sets.
The operator can start the engine either by pressing a button on the front facia, or by providing and external start signal through a potential free contact (e.g. a relay). The M2000 can be configured to perform multiple start attempts. The M2000 detects a successful start from the crank disconnect signal provided by the tacho relay (normally at 33% of nominal speed). The M2000 will operate the fuel valve as well as a start warning signal shortly before cranking the engine. The progress of the start sequence is clearly indicated on the front facia LEDs.
Once the engine is running, the M2000 switches to protection mode. While in protection mode the M2000 will survey oil pressure, cooling water temperature and engine speed (to protect from overspeed). Five additional channels are included for auxiliary alarms. The M2000 can be programmed to shut down the engine if an alarm is detected, or it can continue to run the engine is power failure is more important than engine damage. Both pre-warning and circuit check is available for all alarms. Circuit check is a convenient safety feature, which provides a special indication if the wire to the alarm sensor breaks.
SELCO offers a special M0500 Tacho Detector and M0500-5x Tacho Voltage Detector, which provides the engine speed related information required for crank discon
