This product is made from British recycled mixed plastic that would otherwise be incinerated or go into landfill sites.

We have used them for raised bed construction, fence pales, pallet slats and as a damp barriers. The non absorbent material is perfect for the food industry. Hygienic and easy to keep clean. Can be worked with normal woodworking tools.

Why use recycled mixed plastic instead of wood?

Wood has always been for great construction material and has been used for time immemorial. And for the most part, it has been served its purpose. But there are two issues with wood construction that are becoming increasingly apparent. Firstly, wood rots. It deteriorates over a short period and this can be costly. Secondly, with the rate of human growth, human consumption also increases and therefore more trees are being chopped down accommodate our needs; at the expense of our planet's natural environment. And it's only getting worse.

The UK only recycles 7% of plastic waste at present. Plastic takes an extremely long time to degrade, which though problematic when it is waste becomes an asset when used in building and construction.

Using Kedel's wide variety of Mixed Plastic Profiles instead of wood will greatly improve our capacity to recycle plastic and also has the advantage of reducing the long-term maintenance cost of building projects.
