Our Thames range children's outdoor garden chair, just like our adult Thames Garden Chair will never, ever rot, and will most likely go on to become a cherished family heirloom, with sentimental value attached to it over many generations.
The colour is UV protected against fading and is right though the material, and not just on the surface.
Even after decades, it will look like new, needing only the occasional wipe down with normal household cleaners.
It does not absorb moisture, so is very hygienic and easy to keep clean.
Being made entirely from British sourced recycled plastic, this is a piece of outdoor furniture that will never need treatment with nasty toxic preservatives, varnish or paint, and is both water and frost proof.
Most outdoor garden furniture needs packing away in the shed for the winter and you can't get into your shed or garage properly for months on end, but this recycled plastic chair can be safely left outside all the year round in all weathers.
Looks like wood, performs like plastic
You can enjoy the aesthetics of wood in terms of look and feel, but still, have all the wonderful advantages of plastic.
Some of our customers can't tell the difference and have even complained that we had sent them wood instead of recycled plastic, and I am not making this up.
It may surprise you to know that this very realistic plastic wood is actually made from waste polystyrene, and has the same weight and density of many South American hard kinds of wood.
British Recycled Plastic
It's amazing that so much of our recycled plastic still goes into landfill.
30% of landfill is plastic waste, which seems mad to us when we can produce these beautiful plastic wood products with it.
We must emphasis the importance of using British waste plastic. A lot of recycled plastic is sold into Asia, processed, and then sold back to British businesses. We don't use this because it has a huge carbon footprint arising from long distance transportation and is not therefore very eco-friendly.
Made in Britain - Family Business
These are not foreign imports but are made here in the UK at our manufacturing unit in Colne, Lancashire.
Kedel's company name is derived from the names of the three founding brothers, Kieran, Dermot and Lewis Walch, and was only founded in January 2010.
