Business Integration Awards 2007..

Medium-size companies have to deal with subjects like data and process integration in more and more detail. Often extensive integration efforts by means of interface programming become necessary in case that suppliers and customers along with their systems have to be linked to the in-house systems. In April 2007 KTR Kupplungstechnik GmbH won the award for "The best business integration project/medium-size companies" awarded by the Business Integration Forum 2007 in Mainz for their business integration project on an SAP NetWeaver basis. As a supplier of advanced driving components being successful throughout the world KTR offers mechanical couplings, hydraulic components, torque measuring systems and precision joints for general engineering. For that purpose it is necessary to optimize the corresponding processes between KTR and their partners continuously. With the search for a new future-orientated IT solution KTR was supported by their long-term advisory partner itelligence AG situated in Bielefeld. KTR selected the service-based platform SAP NetWeaver. Within eight weeks only KTR managed to arrange the technical process requirements in cooperation with itelligence and provide the necessary IT processes and system links based on the SAP Exchange Infrastructure (SAP XI).
