KTRs range of plate heat exchangers meet the essential requirements that users and designers of hydraulic plants and drives look to have in every application; high performance with compact dimensions.
The demand for high performance can sometimes mean users fail to notice the hydraulic fluid in the system overheating, which usually leads to a shorter lifespan of the hydraulic fluid and increased wear of the entire system.
The new PHE range of plate heat exchangers maintains optimum conditions for efficient thermo management by reducing the temperature of the hydraulic fluid. The main applications these products are of use to include machine tools, plastics machines, test benches, moulding machines and pump power packs.
Special stamped plates produce superior heat transfer resulting in high cooling capacities with compact designs. The KTR plate heat exchanger only requires 25-30% of space with the same power which is especially beneficial to mobile applications where low application weight is vital.
With an operating temperature from -10˚C to +200˚C and a maximum operating pressure of 30 bar, the plate heat exchangers are suited to almost every application in the hydraulic industry. They are made from stainless steel using a copper filler metal ensures a high resistance to corrosion.
The PHE range is available in four designs for various cooling capacities with connections from ¾” to 1½” and 20 to 40 plates in the standard range. The plate heat exchangers are a useful addition to KTRs current range of hydraulic components for thermo management which include tank heaters, oil/air and oil/water coolers, temperature gauges and industrial control systems.
