Tacke KG was an old established family company which had been founded by mill constructor and engineer Franz Tacke, originating from Warstein (famous for its Blonde Beer) where the textile industry was situated, in 1886. The construction of complete modern transmissions was part of their main business, however Tacke were accustomed to building couplings, as they had over three generations of experience in the construction of transmissions and drives
