Oil Air Coolers from KTR

KTR’S NEW COOLING SYSTEMS COMPLETE THE PRODUCT RANGE OF HEAT EXCHANGERS A compact cooler range developed by KTR for high power cooling of hydraulic and lubricating oils was unveiled at the Hannover Fair in April 2009 and completes the company product line of heat exchangers. These high power coolers were developed for integration into full systems or as separate cooling units or as combined coolers. For stationary hydraulic applications KTR offers eight different OAC types which achieve the necessary cooling power through the use of various sizes of heat exchanger. The OAC oil/air coolers are suitable for use in construction machinery, agricultural machines, machine tools, hydraulic power packs, wind power, hydraulic presses, rail technology and the iron and steel industry. A separate cooling unit, OPC, is available with an integrated pump which delivers oil into the cooler, separate from the main circuit. These so-called combined coolers are often used in mobile hydraulics where different substances are mixed in a combined cooling system. This allows hydraulic oil, gear lubricant oil, air and cooling water to be cooled in a single system. The size of the different cooling elements is adapted to the application taking into account the thermal demands and existing mounting space. The oil/air coolers are the latest addition to KTR’s current range of hydraulic components for thermo management which include tank heaters, plate heat exchangers, temperature gauges and industrial control systems.
