The Department for Education (DfE) has published a Generic Design Brief which details the technical requirements for the design and construction of Schools forming the Employer’s Requirements for the DfE Construction Framework 2021 and the Offsite Schools Framework (MMC). The School Output Specification states that Polycarbonate rooflights are not an acceptable alternative to glazed rooflights due to UV degradation.
