Part of our process is to revisit projects after several years to see how the supplied products are performing. This prestige job in the heart of London had been on site for nearly six years and the amount of use that the park and furniture had seen in this time is enormous. That coupled with the large presence of sand should have given the materials a tough environment to perform in. We were delighted to see that, apart from the timber going silver grey and the granite plinths needing a pressure wash, the benches were all still performing like the day they were installed. Just under two thousand timber slats had been installed onto stainless steel frames and not one has had to be replaced, even with their excessive use.
