Engineering Design and CAD

Many of our customers are fully integrated production companies with their own mechanical and electronic design departments. These companies will issue us a front panel drawing and print drawing. We still have to convert them to our CAD standards and lay out the punch pattern, ready for our cnc punch, but the amount of work is small. Other customers are either electronics companies that are too small to have their own mechanical design department or software as a service companies, where the electronics is just the vehicle to convey their service. The boards are bought in. We normally get them jumbled in the bottom of a cardboard box with various connectors. No problem, we get our verniers out, measure everything that is important and create a model inside our Solidworks system.
