Heating Jackets

LMK flexible heating jackets are suitable for nearly all plastic, fibre and metal containers - drums, barrels, tubs, buckets, kegs, carboys, totes, IBC's etc. WIDE RANGE OF STANDARD SIZES FROM 20 LITRES / 5 GALLON, UP TO 1200 LITRES / 300 GALLON, AVAILABLE FOR IMMEDIATE DELIVERY. Versions for economical anti-freeze protection of 200 litre drums, 55 gallon barrels, 1000 litre IBC's or 250 gallon totes, plus high power variants for elevated temperature requirements, available from our extensive inventory. The standard jackets incorporate a heavy duty waterproofed nylon outer material, fitted with adjustable retaining straps and quick release clips. A high thermal efficiency layer of insulation is held in place between the outer cover and the inner element carrier. The silicone insulated heating element is woven back and forth along the length of the carrier. The braided supply cable and thermostat housing is retained by a polycarbonate gland and an insulating plate. Jackets can be manufactured in sizes and power ratings to suit particular applications, with standard units for commonly used containers. High quality insulation and direct contact with the drum ensures much higher efficiency than can be obtained from traditional band heaters. Heat losses to the surrounding air are much less than with exposed silicon band heaters so the outer surface is cooler and energy use is reduced.
