The LRS patient paging systems are now rolled out in to many hospitals and private medical organisations here i the UK.
One major aspect of the patient recovery system where any type of pager is concerned in hospitals is the transmission of MRSA, H1N1, staphylococcus aureus, staphylococcal or other very dangerous bugs is paramount. All LRS Pagers can be cleaned with antiviral sprays and liquids for complete safety in a hospital environment - indeed in any environment.
Tony Mckenzie, Managing Director or Long Range Systems UK offices commented "Where bacteria and viruses are concerned there are many pager systems out there which can harbour dangerous bacteria and viruses. I can think of a number of brands where you CANNOT clean those pagers because of holes or even speaker grilles in the design that stop you using antibacterial sprays or liquids."
Mckenzie continued "The LRS pagers can be easily cleaned with sprays or liquids that can kill bacteria and viruses and the cleaning agents don't enter our products. I have personally seen other companies products where liquids have entered the pager and damaged the pager - needless to say it's likely that those resellers would not honour warranty in that situation."
