Quarried Aggregates are made from material created thousands of years ago which is extracted from the ground then crushed, screened and/or washed to produce the required grading. There are thousands of quarries across the country producing various quarried aggregates to satisfy demand. Geographical location may affect the type and grading of quarried aggregates available to you due to the geological make up of your area. Generally quarried aggregates are more expensive than recycled aggegates but are more attractive in most cases. Mainland Aggregates are able offer a full range of quarried aggregates such as Type 1, Building Sands and Drainage Gravels to more specialist Rail Aggregates, Sports Sands and SuDS compliant materials.
