Rip Rap Rock Armour

Rip Rap or Rock Armour is a coarse crushed rock typically 300mm upwards used to prevent water erosion and scouring. Rip Rap is commonly used as coastal defence as well as lining rivers and inland waterways. The product is particularly effective at dissipating energy from waves and fast flowing water in order to protect land and structures from water erosion.

Mainland Aggregates are able to supply Rip Rap online with nationwide delivery available. The Rip Rap supplied will generally be from sources local to the project due to the logistics involved in transporting it and thus the product is not sold as any particular colour or stone type. Due to the size and weight of this product it is likely that an excavator or similar lifting equipment will be required to place the stone safely.
