Record Sales for Marl

Marl International Limited is celebrating three successive record breaking months of sales that are generating more employment opportunities in the local area. Marl has over thirty years experience in the manufacture and development of LED (light emitting diode) technology and currently employs over 100 people at its impressive manufacturing facility on Morecambe Road in Ulverston. The company provides an extensive and diverse range of services and products to numerous market sectors that include the rail industry, telecommunications, defence and architectural. The company's on-going success can be attributed, in part, to a substantial order worth up to £250,000 from Bombardier Transportation for Marl's Hi-Light (High Integrity Emergency Lighting System). The system forms part of the planned refurbishment of the First Great Western MkIII coaching stock. This refit is due to be finished by the end of 2007, with the first vehicles being delivered in November 2006.
