South East Asia Conference Tour 2014

The Matcon Conference Tour of SE Asia was extremely well received. On popular request after last years’ successful ‘Lean conferences’; Matcon provided technical seminars on Agile and Efficient Manufacturing over 9 days around 5 countries in SEA. The tour started in Manila, Philippines with well over 100 people gathering over the two days, covering the food industry on the first day and pharmaceutical the second. The food event was extremely well attended with companies ranging from infant nutrition through beverages, bakery, flavouring and other B2B manufacturing. Delegates were very enthusiastic about the topics and concepts that were presented, which was verified by the great number of questions asked throughout the presentations. This was further confirmed by the very positive feedback forms - most delegates requesting that similar events take place at least annually with one delegate asking for monthly sessions. The tour moved onto Malaysia where a number of additional Matcon employees brought even more energy into the events. Dave Newell, the Business Development Director for the region, stated that “It was encouraging to see so much interest in the Matcon systems and to have such a great contribution from the audience.
