Metric Win Contracts For Famous Albert Docks

Metric Group has won a key contract to supply equipment to the world’s most famous inland docks. The Swindon-based manufacturer has provided Albert Docks in Liverpool with Pay on Foot and pay & display parking terminals, which are already making a significant difference to the parking. Metric has installed two X-Parc pay on foot systems for 38 and 49 space open car parks generating £1 million a year. The car parks also have the Metric’s Elite payment terminals for a prepayment tariff which includes 24 hour parking. Albert Docks also has the Metric Web-ASLAN system and Sean Morrison, describes the installation as ‘incredible.’ Said Sean, Estates Manager: “In a short time already – the system only went live mid-July – the difference is incredible, not only regards reliability but also back office and reporting needs. “Car park revenue at Albert Docks is immensely crucial with all funds diverted to the maintenance of this world heritage estate.” There are an estimated 5.4 million visitors a year to the Albert Docks and major events.
