Series 166E panel mount plug and socket connectors are primarily intended for use with lighting equipment, appliances and other housings where secure connections and quick release for servicing are essential. They are designed to simply push in to panels which have preformed rectangular slots. They are available in 3 pole lengths and have an extended earth plug fitted as standard. They are fully "touchproof" in both fitted and unfitted positions. Each pole is polarised to prevent incorrect alignment. The internal connections are for use as screwless connectors, suitable for tinned stranded or solid conductors. Untinned stranded conductors cannot be used with this type.
